DCI Trade Officers

The Trade & Business Licensing Board shall be assisted by authorized Trade Officers as are necessary for the purposes of this Law in matters of compliance and enforcement.

Subject to Section 7, subsection (3) of the Law, trade officers shall have all the rights, powers, privileges and immunities of a constable when performing the functions of trade officers under this Law.

Trade Officers have the authority and power to carry out such instructions as may be given by the Trade & Business Licensing Board or the Department in accordance with this Law and may exercise on behalf of the Board or the Department, any powers granted to the Board by the related Law.

In addition to the Trade & Business Licensing Law, DCI Trade Officers are also responsbile for compliance and enforcement of various other Laws within the Department's remit.
